Ansel Adams post

 http://inspirationhut.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Ansel-Adams-Photography-Large-10-550x425.jpg

Ansel Adams was born in 1902, in San Francisco, California. He had always been an only child and grew up in an environment pretty conservative, with a supportive en encouraging dad. As he did not fit in school because of his hyperactive nature, he got tutored by his dad and aunt. He finally earned a 8th grade diploma from a private school a few years later. At 12 years old, Adams taught himself to play the piano and this discipline became his new goal in life. Music became his profession, as in 1920 pianist was his full time job. He had always been passionate by nature, and began to take photographs as a kid. His first fully visualized photograph, Monolith, the face of half dome, was created in 1927 and changed Adams' life. It began his carrier as a photograph and ended the one as a pianist. He then wrote some of the most influential books about photography, and became consultant for some big firm like Polaroid.
I chose this picture because the landscape looks so calm, so peaceful thanks to the black and white. The contrast between every little different part of the picture is amazing.
